Ashley is a bilingual Physiotherapist at Trimetrics Physiotherapy. She grew up in Ottawa, Ontario in an active family where she was exposed at a young age to the benefits of living a healthy and happy lifestyle. She engaged in various recreational sports and creative activities with a focus and passion for dance. Having taken her first ballet class at the age of 3, and through continued dancing into adulthood, Ashley has developed a true appreciation and passion for movement.
Ashley obtained her Bachelor of Health Sciences at the University of Ottawa. Her continued passion for health, movement, and working with others led her to pursue her Master of Science in Physical Therapy at Queen’s University, in Kingston Ontario. She has completed her Level 1 certification under the Orthopedic division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association, with plans to complete further levels.
Ashley has gained experience working with patients of all ages, from recreational to semi-professional athletes, patients with neurological and cardiorespiratory conditions, and more. These opportunities have further confirmed her love for working one-on-one with clients and found a strong interest in musculoskeletal and neurological conditions. This is one of the reasons that Ashley has landed at Trimetrics Physiotherapy.
Grounded in client-centered goals, Ashley uses education, hands-on techniques, exercise-programs, and other evidence-based treatments to take a collaborative and active approach to rehabilitation. By enabling her patients with the tools and confidence to be active participants in their recovery, she believes in the importance of taking a person-centered approach and discovering the root cause of someone’s symptoms. For Ashley, it is most rewarding to have the opportunity to work one-on-one to find a true connection and empower each patients to have control over their well-being and enabling them to pursue what they love!
In her spare time, Ashley loves spending time with friends and family, travelling, meeting new people, cooking and eating delicious food, finding news skills and challenges, and spending time by the water and in the mountains. She enjoys staying active through variety of activities, such as hiking, running, dance, yoga, cycling, and skiing.
