Gillian Morrow

Physiotherapist Assistant / Pilates Instructor

Pilates Instructor

Gillian started her fitness journey almost three decades ago as a fitness instructor and presenter in Europe and in the late 1980’s she had her first taste of Pilates. Years later when she returned to Canada and was a student attending the Fitness and Lifestyle Management Programme at George Brown College in Toronto and working for the City of Toronto Parks, Forestry and Recreation she had the opportunity to attend a teacher training in Basic Mat Pilates which allowed her to broaden her fitness repertoire in classical mat classes. While continuing her education studying Kinesiology at York University she registered to attend a practicum semester course of “Pilates method for Kinesiologists” and this opened a whole new world of possibilities to assist people with their fitness and wellbeing.

As a Muscle Activation Technique Specialist and Medical Exercise Specialist she became acutely aware of the potential of Pilates to help people to succeed in their physical endeavours. Upon returning to Vancouver, Gillian enrolled in a Body Control Pilates intensive mat course and then continued her studies with Balanced Body, completing all levels of mat, reformer and apparatus.

Gillian has lived an active lifestyle comprised of many disciplines in sports and dance. Her many activities and pursuits include biking, running, swimming, sailing, hiking and continuing education.Gillian is thrilled to be a part of the Trimetrics team.

She feels honoured to work with such great professionals and to have the opportunity to help the amazing patients and clients experience the benefits of Pilates.
